What the centre does
Gynaecology, andrology, urology, reproductive medicine and a urogenital microbiology laboratory share the same building, which means that a consultation, an ultrasound scan and a laboratory sample can usually be arranged in a single morning. The center activities page lists the outpatient, diagnostic, therapeutic and laboratory services; the staff page presents the medical team, led by Medical Director Dr. Oreste Saltarelli, specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology and in pathology of human reproduction.
Where to start
Couples who are not conceiving will find the assessment path described under couples infertility, together with the pages on assisted fertilization and on the ovarian reserve. Men are followed by the Men’s Center, which covers male infertility, impotence, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, prostatitis, prostatic hypertrophy and andropause. Women are followed by the Women’s Center, which deals with libido disorders, anorgasmia, vaginism, dyspareunia and the Monnalisa Touch laser treatment.
Tests and complementary medicine
The microbiology laboratory performs the swabs and cultures used to identify genital-urinary infections in both sexes, the spermiogram and the papilloma virus test. Acupuncture and complementary medicine are offered alongside conventional treatment, in particular for couples infertility, osteoarticular pain and stress-related syndromes.
